Hours Against Hate

Serve 2 Unite partner Hours Against Hate is a US Department of State campaign to stop bigotry and promote respect across lines of culture, religion, race, tradition, class, sexual orientation and gender. It started as a Facebook page with a simple goal: to urge young people from around the globe to pledge a total of 2011 hours of their time to help end hate.

The initiative was launched by Special Representative to Muslim Communities Farah Pandith and former Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism Hannah Rosenthal at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna, Austria on February 17, 2011.
